Detox Cleanse Day 3

Woooo! I finished my 3-day Kaeng Raeng cleanse! What a great feeling. This was my first time doing a cleanse, and it will definitely not be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the Kaeng Raeng cleanse was a great detox for a first-timer like me.

For those of you that haven't read my previous posts about this cleanse, Kaeng Raeng is a meal replacement cleanse that comes in the form of a powder that you put into water or juice. There are different levels and I did the beginner 3-day cleanse. It was super easy. All I had to do was drink one pouch (there are three different fruit flavors to choose from) with water or juice, three times per day.

This cleanse can help you lose weight, aid digestion, help clear out the toxins in your body, and so much more. This cleanse is vegan, gluten-free, and caffeine-free. Each pouch contains fruit, fiber, soy protein, live probiotic cultures, and vitamins. It is all natural!

I know I've said it a million times, but this cleanse was so easy to do. It was so convenient. I got a Kaeng Raeng reusable water bottle-like container with my program. It had lines on it to tell you how much water or juice to use with each pouch. It was a no-brainer! It was great for working women like myself. I just poured in a pouch and some water and drank it at work!

The past three days have been easy-peasy for me. This cleanse caused no stress in my life (though it may have stressed out my boyfriend as he didn't know what to eat since I wasn't cooking for three days!). Life was business as usual and I didn't feel any weird side affects from doing the cleanse. I never felt hunger, though I did eat lots of fruits and veggies (you can do that on this cleanse, isn't that awesome?!). I did miss eating my raw brownies and vegan mac n' cheese, but I wasn't suffering.

I will be completely honest with the fact that I never quite enjoyed the taste. Besides my fruit smoothies that I love, I have never been a huge fan of fruit, and it can be a chore getting me to eat my daily dose of fruit (I know I'm weird, I can't help it, I love broccoli). I think this cleanse was just a fruit over-dose for me, which I think was a good thing. While I might not have loved the taste of the different pouches, I'm sure fruit-lovers will.

Since my diet is pretty strict already, I really wasn't eating too differently, except that grains, beans, and nuts were eliminated. With that said, I probably wouldn't do this cleanse again for quite some time, simply because I don't think my body needs it. I do however think that this cleanse would be absolutely wonderful for someone who is struggling to eat healthier. If you feel like your diet is making you sluggish and slowing you down, doing this cleanse would be a great jumpstart to your healthy eating journey. I would definitely recommend this cleanse!

So finally, thanks Kaeng Raeng for an easy, no-hassle, first cleanse experience!

Detox Cleanse Day 2

It's day two and let me say that this cleanse is just so easy to do. It's pretty amazing how I don't feel hunger at all. Though I will admit, I do miss quinoa and brown rice. What can I say? I looooove grains! I'm feeling good though, lighter perhaps. Like I said yesterday, I'm not trying to lose weight on this cleanse, though you certainly could if that was your goal. I am eating a lot of raw fruits and vegetables throughout the day, and do not feel like I've lost any weight. I just feel...cleaned out! haha

I had a bit of a headache last night and this morning, but that might be due to the fact that I am slightly lacking in sleep and a little stressed with work. Plus, I was babysitting an adorable little rabbit for a week. Anywho, the only problem I am still having is with the taste. I can't quite get the drinks to taste right. Tomorrow I will try some of the recipes on the Kaeng Raeng website and see how it goes.

Overall, I'm feeling good and going strong! Check back tomorrow night for my final detox update and official review!

Detox Cleanse Day 1

Hey everyone!

So today I started a three-day detox cleanse program by Kaeng Raeng. It is super easy to to do. Three times a day for three days you simply add one pouch of powder to 24-32 oz. of water, juice, milk, or a fruit smoothie and drink. Each pouch contains a full serving of fruit and fiber, all your daily vitamins, protein, and live probiotic cultures. You can also eat raw fruits and vegetables while on the cleanse. The cleanse is vegan, gluten-free, and caffeine-free.

Before I tell you about how it's going for me so far, let me say a few things. First of all, I am not trying to loss weight, though many people have commented that this cleanse is an affective and safe way to loss weight. Also, as I am already on a very strict vegan diet, I do not expect to feel dramatically different after this cleanse. My regular diet is very close to what I am eating on this cleanse, I am only eliminating grains, beans, nuts, and seeds.

So far, I am feeling good. This cleanse is very filling and I have not felt at all hunger. I also love that I can eat raw fruits and vegetables, because I just loving chewing and crunching food so darn much! Since I tend to over eat a lot and fill stuffed and bloated, I like that this detox leaves me feeling full, but not overly stuffed. I hate that stuffed feeling, and that feeling just makes me feel bad about everything I ate, even if it is healthy.

I am having some difficulty with the taste, though that may be because I need to find the right combinations of fruits and juices to go with the three different flavors that the pouches come in. It doesn't taste bad, just not quite right. Well, I have two more days to experiment with that!

The other thing that takes some getting used to is the fact that it is in a powder form. The fact that it is powder is definitely convenient, and makes it very easy to add to juices and fruits to drink. You just toss it in a blender with fruit and viola, a filling fruit smoothie. When doing this cleanse, you just need to get used to this sort of grainy texture in whatever you are drinking it with.

So far this cleanse seems like a great detox for someone who is just starting out on their healthy eating journey. It is a super easy, fast, and filling way to eat healthy and rid your body of toxins, especially if you are struggling with eating healthier.

Overall, I am enjoying this cleanse and look forward to the next two days. Check back tomorrow for Day 2 details!
